Young rogues between the ages of 5 and 10 can discover the tools needed to be a successful pirate by attending our Scalawag School for Aspiring Pirates.  We typically offer these lessons during our appearances at festivals and can include them in your private function as well.  Remember, there were female pirates as well, so the girls can play too.

School Curriculum (subject to change):

  • Pirate Vocabulary - learn the most important pirate words
  • Cutlass Drills - become an expert swordsman (or woman)
  • Musket Drills - load, aim and 'fire' your long arm
  • Line Hauling - sing along with the chanteyman as we haul in the anchor
                                                                                                - or just a couple fat pirates!

Madam Grace, Blackbeard's Crews best sword fighter conducts the cutlass drill  Constable Heartless, firearms and edged weapons safety officer for Blackbeards Crew demonstrates the safe handling of small arms weapons. Cap'n Pern, leader of Blackbeards crew conducts the talk like a pirate portion of the Skalawag School For Aspiring Pirates
